George has a very high standard of work in everything he has done in our house. We have chosen him as our handyman for years. He is very skilled and able to resolve difficult DIY problems. He is professional, reliable, and friendly and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him.

I am one of George's many repeat customers. This time he replaced a damaged mixer tap which was quickly becoming an unintended water feature in my kitchen, doing a temporary fix first that lasted until I could buy a replacement. As always he came quickly, did the job for an excellent price, and explained everything as he went along. He really goes the extra mile for his customers and you always know the quality of his workmanship is excellent as he pays such attention to the detail. George is my go-to guy for any little jobs around the house, he is such a find.

He clearly and methodically advised how to find the appliance that was causing the electricity to switch off. We call on George time and time again, and have been using him for DIY jobs for many years. George mounted two large mirrors, put up a cupboard and wall mounted shelf/coat hooks for my Mother. He advised on positioning explaining where the cables ran in the walls. To be honest he saved me a few pounds by saving an old door by repairing it instead of going through a long hassle getting a new one fitted . Handyman George has been coming to me for a few years and has done several plumbing as well as tricky ceiling, door and gate repairs. He is the best because he approaches problems intelligently, with a wide knowledge and initiative so he sees different solutions or options, including possibilities for repair instead of complete replacement. George has been a life saver for us many times since we moved into our first house in 2020. As first time owners, there were many things we didn’t know how to do, such as installing appliances, installing bloc blinds on Velux windows, installing ceiling speakers, mounting large TV's, drilling and mounting on brick, securing stair gates, electrical issues, etc etc. the list goes on. Handyman George has come out to help us move in and get settled in our home and continues to help us to this day as we make updates and changes. He’s really thoughtful and thorough, and always finds clever solutions to tricky problems. I had a fantastic experience with George! While I was away, there was a broken curtain rail at my Airbnb, and I was feeling quite panicky because I had guests staying there. I didn't want them to have an evening without bedroom curtains. However, George quickly responded to the situation and did a brilliant job fixing the curtain rail. Needed to replace my old Aqualisa shower with a new one. George came over at short notice late one evening. He isolated the water supply, removed the old one, installed the new one and cleaned up afterwards. Explained what he was doing along the way and why. It took approximately one hour from start to finish. Found him to be very professional and good value for money.

Handyman George is the king of all handyman services! He is very reliable, always punctual and most importantly he has great communication skills. What I like about his service is that he discusses things before or during work, gives you options, and makes recommendations. Works quickly and efficiently but accurately and to 100% perfection! George has done a range of jobs for me around the house from putting up new lights, curtain rails, blinds to fitting spare parts to an electric shower. Invaluable service!

Really happy with his work overall. I had called him in, to replace my power shower. The plumbers who came in before him to do the job, left it incomplete and in a complete mess. The light was short circuiting, and shower not properly installed. He came in, worked methodically and sorted it all in an hour. Real professional work, would definitely call him next time I need stuff done in the house.

I first called Handyman George to fit curtain poles, a mirror and a cabinet in the toilets of my new property. I must say he has a sound knowledge and knows his trade well. He even explains to you the various aspects and gives you choices to select which option will suit you. He seems to be a perfectionist. After that I appointed him to do some shelving in a wardrobe and a storage area and he made good use of wood I had in stock and the job was done in an excellent manner. He is a honest man and I like his work and is not that kind of a person who would charge you more unnecessarily. I like his work and will definitely be calling him again when I need him.

This is the first time I have written a Google Review but I feel compelled to do so, such was the level of service I had with George. George was firstly very accommodating with regards to dates and times and communicated with us throughout. We needed a number of jobs to be completed (owing to our new move) that varied i.e. from electronics to fitting heavy, large mirrors. Each job George completed with dilligence and the care one would hope and expect - clearly explaining the pros and cons of each job to allow me and my partner to make an informed decision. Needless to say, each job was of the highest standard and we have already requested George to complete more work in the near future. Thanks George!

Great and reliable service - I have used George on many occasions to do a variety of jobs from leaks in the bathroom, sorting out lights, putting shelving up to building fitted cupboards in a bedroom. He has always kept me informed of availability and turned up when he said he would. His work is exceptional and he always explains what he is going to do. I highly recommend George I agree with all his previous excellent reviews. I had a significant leak in the kitchen - an accident cover engineer had visited after several (very wet) hours delay and advised that they could not isolate the leak without dismantling everything including possibly walls. I was fortunate to see George's entry in the Green Book. He arrived as promised that evening. He efficiently used a head torch to find the source of the leak and stopped it with no hassle. He then waited until he was sure it was stopped. He explained everything well. Highly professional. Very knowledgeable Friendly and I was very impressed with him all round. So pleased I found him. He is completely reliable, and if he says that he'll come on a day, he turns up on time. Everything is carefully explained. I’ve used George for a wide variety of different home improvement tasks over the years and have always been very satisfied with the results. Not only is the quality of workmanship exceptionally good but he designs creative solutions to problems - a good example being a kitchen unit which was too large for the space which he cut down to size. You’d never know it had been altered and looks made to measure. So it’s not just the workmanship getting for a very competitive price it’s also consultancy on the options available to you which I really like.

George responded overnight to an email enquiry with a fixed price and was able to come later the same day to carry out the work - replacing all the brass fittings (handles, letterbox, knocker, rain deflector) on our front door, which included enlarging the letterbox opening in a hardwood door. He explained his approach to the task in advance, carried out the work in a very thorough, professional manner, gave useful advice on future maintenance, and for a small extra charge also fitted a new towel and toilet roll holder in our cloakroom (a last minute request). Oh my goodness, what an angel. I asked George to fit my new built in oven. Im a single mother and just bought one thinking it will fit fine and did not look into sizes etc. George did every thing in his power and expertise to fit it in safety knowing how desperate i needed it.
