James and his team did an absolutely brilliant job cutting back a large tree which was encroaching on my neighbours' gardens. James came over to do a quote same day and then completed the work within the week. Not only did he cut back the tree and remove all the waste, but he ensured all the leaves were cleared from the garden, as well as the communal path behind my house. I asked James to come over and give me some landscaping ideas for our garden at our new home, he was friendly, polite and knowledgeable from the get go. We chose to go with James and his team of Ryan, Barry and Micky, and what can I say but wow! What a transformation to our garden all ready for the summer, collaborative and communicative the whole way. They worked long days but were always happy, polite and energised. I recently needed 3 trees to be removed from my garden along with removal of hedge from front of house - after making a call in the morning for the quote, the job was completed in full the very next day. Very polite team who know what they are doing. One tree was very close to a fence and all was removed down to the stump without any damage to the fence. Everything was left neat and tidy. Very difficult finding such tradesman who do what they say and do it with perfection! Definitely on my contact list for all future jobs!

Really pleased with the service provided by James and his colleague, Barry. They came out to cut back some overgrown trees and shrubs, and far exceeded our expectations, transforming a very overgrown garden into something that is actually nice to look at! James responded quickly to our request to look at a 60+ year old walnut tree that had been failing for a couple of seasons. He identified the problem and recommended that we have it removed as it was rotting away and in danger of falling. He was very reasonable in his estimate of costs and we arranged for him and colleague to remove the tree. They were prompt and professional in the work, cutting and clearing the limbs and trunk from the site. They were considerate of the existing plants and tidied up after they had finished. Very professional job and I would recommend them highly.

Great job on boundary hedge that had been long neglected and the shaping of a tree in our back garden. We hired Total Tree Care to reduce an old tree in our garden and trim some branches from a very large oak tree. Absolute true gentleman is James. I have known James a while and although I did not use his service, he did come out to help me out and advise me on a willow tree that I was panicking over after a recent house purchase. He could see i was a bit distressed and made time to come and reassure me the tree was ok and gave me a very fair price to cut it down. Just meeting him reassured me immediately. In the end I got my brother and other family members to cut the tree down but I will never forget his kindness. On another note, this is a very well established company who are very well connected with the local council as they do a lot of jobs for them too which shows they are very experienced and trustworthy. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from start to finish! James was really helpful when he came to quote for the work and his quote turned up as promised. He and his team did an excellent job when they came to do the work and they left the place very tidy. They felled a tall, but narrow tree in a very tricky spot and shaped 4 very large hollies and trimmed the leylandii hedge. Very pleased and will be using again.

The 2nd time I've used James, this time, a bigger job. I was impressed with the high standard of the finished article. 2 quite long overgrown hedges trimmed evenly with a 'shaped top' sign off. They've never looked better. Plus two trees topped and rounded nicely. He obviously takes a pride in his work and I'll be happy to use him again.

Total Tree Care came in to heavily prune an old cherry tree and cut down a conifer which was rocking. From the word go, they are totally professional, from organising the appointment to clearing up. They have done a great job on an awkward old tree and they left the garden and drive clean and tidy. They also gave good advice on the other trees. Competitive on price as well. Would definitely recommend and will be getting them back when I next need help with the trees.

I called James to do an emergency tree job at my home which was caused by the storm damage. I also had 2 fence panels blown over which he replaced with his worker and cleared the fallen tree on my driveway which was blocking my car from be able to leave my home. I called James as I have used him before in the past for other garden work and tidy ups and he always goes above and beyond to get the job done on time and leaves everything tidy. I contacted James for a quote, and was amazed that he was able to give a quote and carry out most of the work almost immediately. He was accompanied by his team member John, as this was only a small job. In next to no time at all 2 small diseased evergreens were removed. He then 'topped' a fir tree which I am very fond of to see if it would survive the winter as it did not seem 'well' with browning of the inner branches. He then set to work pruning a small conifer which was running riot in a small space. Well, it was a work of art! I've never been so pleased to see a tree looking so much smarter than it looked before. I am hoping he will come back in the spring to help with more work. The gardens ( front and back) need 'makeovers' so I will definitely be getting a quote. James is very enthusiastic about his chosen work, and is an amiable, talented, and tidy worker.

James arrived dead on time with his team and immediately set to work and cut down a 20ft cherry tree in our front garden that was old and diseased. He then turned his attention to the back garden where he cut down and stump ground fourteen conifers in no time at all. He also pruned and trimmed many shrubs and trees in the back and front garden. James and his men worked solidly in a well organised team and we couldn’t believe that all this was achieved in one day. It was a bit of a rocky start with a neighbour complaining, but by the end of the day he had most of the neighbourhood thanking him for the work. This was the second job that James has done for my elderly parents and not only did he respond promptly to my initial enquiry via email, he then followed up after he quoted my parents for the work, informing me that he could do the job the next day. James came very promptly and we came to an agreement about the likely extent of the work to be done, which he was able to complete the following day,as it happens. A tree stump covered extensively with ivy was removed and the resulting hole filled and made good ready for grass seeding. James is a friendly kind compassionate gentleman. The first time James came over I tested him by going around all my trees in the garden (which looked like twigs to me) and he guessed all of them right (olive, pear, apple, plum, fig and cherry tree)! I asked him to come prune all of them. He explained what he would do and why and it was clear he had a real passion for tress and the garden. He did a fantastic job and even helped my parents next door trim their bush back and take a tree out. James quoted me to prune a Cotinus Royal Purple tree, a small espalier Victoria Plum tree and a Conference Pear tree. All had lost shape and got overgrown, needing expert attention rather than 'slash and burn' treatment. James's wasn't the cheapest quotation but it was reasonable and he got the job because he clearly knew what he was doing. I wasn't disappointed. We phoned James of the above company in the morning to ask for a quote for removing a large Rose of Sharon bush. James came round very promptly that same day and after assessing the job gave us a quote which we were happy with and said that he could actually do the job that very afternoon. We were very impressed with this and also with the speedy and efficient way he removed the bush. There were some very large roots which he then said he would get out with a pickaxe and complete the job the same day for us. I had a large Magnolia tree in our front garden that had grown so large its roots were causing problems, so I needed to do something before it caused more damage. I called James at Total Tree Care and he was able to come over that same morning. He had a good look at the tree and we talked through our options, and ultimately decided the best thing to do was to remove it. Lucky for me James was able to take on the job that same day, so before we knew it the tree was gone including all of the mess that came with taking it down. He came on a Saturday, looked at the jungle that was my garden and gave me a fixed price quote straight away, which was very reasonable. It wasn't the cheapest (the next was £50 less), but his professionalism and obvious competence gave me confidence, especially when we discussed the Health and Safety aspects. We agreed the price and the date to do the work. On the agreed date he attended with a team, he did all the work that was required and more than had originally been agreed as he found some old concrete in the garden which he cleared. He took away all the waste that had been generated. The garden now has been opened out, clear of brambles, very long grass, low hanging branches and dangerous thorny plants. I can at last see the patios and walk down the paths without being attacked by branches and thorns. I can't praise Total Tree Care and Landscaping enough for their excellent work.

James and his team came here for a full day to work on some Eucalyptus trees and London Plane Trees. They did a great job. He and his team are great to have on your property and are very consultative in the way that they approach the job. There was a lot of discussion around how to cut the trees in a way that reduced the risk of us losing them whilst ensuring that the work produced an aesthetically pleasing outcome. We are very keen on our trees and looking after them, so this approach really impressed us. We would highly recommend them and would happily have them return as we intend to do so.

Just wanted to say how pleased I was with the work James Brazil did for me recently. I wanted a tree stump removed from my front garden and James explained what was involved and how he would accomplish it. Working on his own for almost four hours he extracted the huge stump and ball root (about a yard in diameter). He did a good job filling up the hole and tidying up and advised on how to turf over the exposed ground. I would have no hesitation in using Total Tree Care & Landscaping again in the future.

I contacted James regarding a tree which needed trimming. I sent some pictures of the tree in question and we arranged a suitable date. James, and his team, came, they saw, they trimmed, they tidied and they very kindly left me with a tree which was much more in control than when they started. I noticed another tree, which I could now see more clearly was dying, and after a brief discussion they agreed they would trim it, even though it was late in the day. James & his colleague arrived promptly & worked hard all morning to prune & shape a couple of very overgrown trees. James obviously understands trees & opened them up very nicely to allow the light in & encourage better growth next year. Hadn’t realised how much shade the front garden magnolia was providing - we now have a lot more light at the front of the house! James was polite & courteous, very knowledgable & efficient, worked well & cleared up after himself very tidily. Thoroughly recommend.

I called out James and his team for an emergency job - a tree had split and was on the verge of completely falling over. There was the added risk it could fall into the neighbours garden at anytime. James assessed the serious of the situation very quickly and even though he was working on a different job, agreed to remove the tree the next day. I got a leaflet through the door a few days ago, called James up for a quote. He came round quickly, quoted a sensible price and did the work quickly bringing forward his original date by about 4 days. He and his team did a great job pruning the tree, not causing any damage to fences, plants etc and most importantly they tidied up very nicely after them. I highly recommend them!

He was in Bisley seeking business and gave me a very reasonable quote for thinning and trimming the crown of a holly tree, felling a lilac, removing and treating an old stump to prevent regrowth, and finally trimming a tall conifer. Work was done there and then and everything was cleared up tidily afterwards. Would use him again if needs be, and would recommend him to others.

James has been round twice now and removed several of our overgrown trees, treating the stumps for us as well. He also trimmed back a large Palm Tree. All the debris was taken away, the lawn and paths raked and swept, with the garden being left very tidy. James is very polite and turned up when he said he would. They successfully reduced a very large London Plane where other tree surgeons had failed. They did an excellent job and cleared up three garden, removing every scrape of debris. The tree was cut down to the ground, without damaging other very close by shrubs / trees / fences and the stump treated so that it would not re-grow. The garden was left in a very tidy state.
