Andrew Swadling has been in the building trade for over 26 years and has grown his business by producing high quality work for customers who have been recommended to him by existing clientele. He prides himself on working with the customers to provide costs that are realistic to the clients’ individual needs, completing work on time and on budget. Andy works as the project manager from start to finish for extensions to renovations, steel fabrication and smaller work such as all roofing requirements, painting, decorating and kitchen or bathroom installations. More recently he’s been asked to do more outdoor entertainment areas, garden rooms and external offices/man caves, which he’d be more than happy to discuss. He can also supply architectural and structural drawings and has an excellent relationship with local authorities to enable speedy approval processes, thus resulting in quicker and more efficient builds. Full public liability insurance cover plus client references to prove the quality of his teams’ work are available upon request.

Andy recently completed our new kitchen and utility room and we’re absolutely delighted with the result. You you can tell he takes real pride in what he does. He was reliable, tidy and kept us updated throughout the whole project, which made everything run smoothly. The finish is fantastic, the space feels completely transformed and Andy offered helpful suggestions along the way that really improved the final outcome. We have used Andy Swadling twice this year, the second time having a new roof fitted .We have found him to be extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. He manages his friendly team well and is always on hand to deal with any issues. We would certainly use him again and would happily recommend him.

I've just used Andy and his team (as he was recommended to me by a close friend) for a complete renovation of my house and I cannot recommend him enough. I am so happy with the work. If I ever need work in the future I will only trust Andy! I'd recommend him to anyone. Andy did a 2-storey side extension and new driveway for us this year. We are really happy with it! Andy and everyone he uses are really easy and nice people to deal with. Andy managed the project really well, keeping across the different trades and stages of the build. If there were ever any issues with the build or plans Andy was always available to talk with and looked to get things sorted as soon as possible. He also brought good ideas when things didn’t sync up exactly how the plans had been laid out. The standard of the extension is very high and a testament to Andy and the rest of his team. It’s great to have the extra space and the orientation of the house on the plot is much better now.

Andy's team have just finished a side extension and internal wall relocation. Andy and the team delivered on time and to budget. They kept the site in a clean and safe manner throughout the project. Highly recommend as they also had to work around our family life and did a fantastic job making the build as painless as possible.

Andy has just completed a first floor side and rear extension for us on time and on budget. All project managing was done by Andy to ensure the right people were on site at the right time. All tradespeople used by Andy adhered to the very high standard set by Andy himself, while ensuring that the site was always left in as clean a state as possible. Communication throughout the job was excellent. Having used Andy for a job many years ago is proof in itself of my confidence in his work and it was reassuring to see familiar faces return. A D Swadling Building Services and his team completed a ground floor extension and a loft conversion on our property. The build coincided with Covid (and Brexit) which proved a challenge for all involved. However, despite material supply delays, rising material costs and positive Covid tests Andy managed the project well and kept the build within budget, even though the build time ended up being extended by some considerable time due to the issues mentioned above. We also had a major issue due to very poor ‘architect’ plans; Andy was proactive and chased up the ‘architect’ but got no response. Andy then proved resourceful and bailed us out by calling on his team and his preferred architect to provide a solution to the problem. Overall, Andy is honest, great to work with, prompt, proactive and always available to discuss issues. Despite the length of our build (due to the unforeseen circumstances above) he was back as soon as possible to finish the job and was more than happy to finish any snagging issues further along the line. Overall, I would have no problems in recommending Andy and his team.

Andy and his team completed a double storey extension for us earlier this year. We couldn't have been happier with the work or with Andy as a person. He helped through the planning process and advised us on an architect to use. He started the project in March 2021 and 3 months later the majority of the build was complete. Andy is always ultra responsive via text/calls and we never had any issues with getting hold of him if there were any issues or updates. Andy kept to his quote to the penny, and we never had any issues with him needing more money. All of the tradespeople Andy uses were exceptional, and we will be using all of the trades going forward for any issues. Overall we were quite apprehensive about doing such a big build and choosing a builder but we absolutely made the right choice in choosing Andy and we would highly recommend him and his team for any building project. Andy is such a nice guy and has a great personality, any building work is in safe hands with Andy!

Super, super happy, with Andy a really nice friendly helpful chappy. Going beyond the call of duty (as I do not drive) he is going to take me to look at some gas fires. That is what I call an impeccable service. Lots of gold stars from me.

Andy and his team have just completed a side extension. The build quality is very good and we were very happy with the way work was carried out. Throughout the build the house was kept tidy, Andy was always contactable and his team were always happy to help. All the trades were very good with the children and even let them lay a few bricks. Overall very happy, would use him again and we would certainly recommend Andy. Thanks again.

A D Swadling Building Services have recently completed a two-storey extension for us at the end of 2019. The project was effectively managed Andy and came in just on budget and time. Andy was very approachable and on hand whenever unexpected issues arose. His team of trades where very professional, tidy and work was of a high standard. Andy has recently completed a single storey kitchen and dining room extension for us. Despite a number of issues which arose throughout the build, Andy worked hard to resolve all the issues and ensure that the job was completed to a high standard and within budget. Andy completed a two storey extension for us in 2015. He is an extremely good project manager, all the trades he used were professional and their work was to a high standard. The build was done on time and in budget. We are very pleased with the finish build and even the building inspector commented that you would never know it was an extension! High praise indeed.
