Friendly staff and IAN is a great guy. A bit expensive but peace of mind once it’s been repaired. Highly recommended.

Quick points: Brilliant service, Fast and effective. Warm Reception available, please close the door when you come in. Restroom available in reception. Always book an appointment, but we hardly get appointments sooner, cause of number of ppl waiting to do their service. So if your going in for service do book an appointment. Any emergency or some minor problems, Always call them from 12-1 pm and check if they are free. So they can diagnose the problem quick and tell you the quote.

I took my Mercedes to that service today. As soon as I explained the situation, they told me what the problem could be and gave me a really fair price. They solved the problem in a short time. I was very pleased and recommend it.

Had big problem with rear camera/reversing lights not working & various warnings on dashboard following 2 new (nox) sensors fitted at another garage in reading they sorted v.quickly & low cost - friendly & efficient - found my new garage!!

I’ve been taking my car to Star Motors for a couple of years now, on the weekend my car decided to break down on me. I rung the guys first thing Monday morning and I spoke to Ian, he instructed me on how to release my car from being stuck in the park position. I then managed to limp my car down to the garage and the guys managed to diagnose the fault and fix it the same day. thanks ever so much!!!

Fantastic friendly staff. I explained the problem with my C-Class 220Cdi over the phone I was asked to come in the next day. I was greeted immediately by Ian and couple of his colleagues (I’m terrible at remembering names).
They diagnosed the problem there and then and given a rough cost. I was called to a day later to pick up as the car was ready.
The whole experience felt comfortable and reassuring and I will be honest going into garages most people are not mechanics and don’t know what the problems are, especially with modern cars, so they are at the mercy of whatever they are told by the garage or individual dealing with your car. I did not feel that at all at Star Motors.They are friendly, professional and honest and I will be returning to them always should I need to. Highly Recommended!!! -
The expertise of Ian and his team becomes value for money. I trust them more than any official Mercedes dealer. Firstly I went with an electronic problem which was driving me mad and took the car to several garages before and they solved 'spot on', in other occasion the car was loosing power and I was afraid the turbocharger being damaged, it was a bad workmanship from a 'cowboys' garage where I went to service the car a week earlier.
Definitely recommendable, knowledgeable and competent. Moreover they have the cleanest toilet I have even seen in a mechanics garage. Keep it up guys!

I had a vibration (like going over rumble strips) when lifting off the accelerator in my C200 CDI that 2 trips to my usual garage didn't fix. Within 5 minutes of a test drive the guy at Star Motors diagnosed the problem to be a worn gearbox mount. Within 20 minutes I was driving out with the new mount fitted and the problem fixed. I was very impressed with their knowledge and service - they definitely know their stuff!

I have been using Star Motors for the last 4 years to service my Merc C220 Estate. I opted to take my car to them as opposed to a franchised dealer and am really with the decision. They have always provided a friendly, professional and competitively priced service, with the added benefit of maintaining the cars official Merc digital service history.

I have used Star Motors for about 12 years with two different vehicles - I have always found them to be reasonably priced and very good on all the work they have done for me, from changing a headlight bulb on an A-class (trickier than it sounds) to replacing bushes and servicing my E-class.
Better customer service, more thorough and much cheaper than servicing at a Mercedes dealer based on my experience. -
I have been using Star Motors for almost 4 years now after I bought an older Mercedes. The team is nothing short of fantastic. They are honest, reliable and on the money when it comes to diagnosis and repair. There have been a few times where I thought work had to be carried out, only to have Star tell me to save my money as it is not required. Also you get your car back when they say it will be ready - every time. Lastly, they offer loaner cars which is a huge convenience. Highly recommend Star for any Mercedes owners.
