Ricky has now decorated three rooms for us as well as sorting out some missing coving. The walls of the rooms were in a very poor condition. Ricky took great care with the taping and filling work needed as well as the sanding down prior to painting. He always arrived on time and is very careful to cover and protect furniture and floor coverings. He is easy to get along with and helpful if a hand is needed moving things. We are very pleased with the work he has done. He is a very busy man so you need to book his services well in advance.

Ricky has just painted the exterior of my house. I'm very pleased with the finish and how he cleaned up any mess made in the process. He explained everything the work would entail and how many coats of paint he would apply. He itemised it all and gave a very fair price. He turned up on time and worked for 2 days without any hassle. I highly recommend him and will certainly make use of him for any further work I may need.

Ricky has just completed the second project here. This is an older house which needs some understanding when it comes to surfaces and materials, and Ricky is always very careful, and practical in problem solving. He spends considerable time preparing surfaces so that the finished work looks very good. His painting skills are high and so is his paperhanging. He works cleanly, protecting carpets and passageways. I have been very satisfied with his work, and intend to trust him with further work in the future.

We couldn’t be happier with the work Ricky at Dab Hand Décor has done for us. He recently decorated our hallway, stairs, and landing in our old period home, which involved extensive prep work – including removing the carpet to prep and paint the stairs for a new runnner, seamlessly filling large cracks in the walls and woodwork, and carefully restoring original features like the banister and doors. The house was in real need of attention, and Ricky has completely transformed it. His workmanship is second to none – everything looks flawless, from the ceilings to the woodwork. He also helped us choose the right paint and finishes, which made a big difference to the final result. We were away on holiday during most of the job and had complete confidence leaving Ricky with access to the house. He’s incredibly trustworthy, reliable, professional, tidy, and friendly. On top of that, he also painted our living room ceiling and frieze after a water leak left a large stain, and again the result was immaculate. Ricky is now our go-to for any decorating work – we would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a high-quality, honest, and skilled decorator. An absolute gem.

Very pleased with the exterior decorating by Ricky. Before the work the condition of the decoration was poorer than at first sight. Ricky was very thorough in restoring it to a lovely finish. He is meticulous in his approach. Pleasant and considerate to deal with and for the quality of the work extremely good value. I would definitely use again.

Ricky is brilliant. He's such a professional. He transformed our study this week, painting ceiling, walls and cupboards, we knew what colours we wanted; he knew what type of paint was needed for each surface. He works quickly but thoroughly, and very neatly. I'm delighted to have discovered him!

It would be difficult to overstate how impressed my husband and I are with Ricky. He has just completed painting and wallpapering our bedroom, which is the second job he has done for us. Like last time he is tidy, polite, excellent value for money and delivers work of the highest standard. Our wallpapering job in particular was challenging: no wall was an easy geometric shape, with lots of corners, angles, slopes and beams to accommodate using an unforgiving pattern. Ricky's work is superb: the care and attention to detail he has demonstrated has left us with a finish of the highest quality. His quote was competitive and transparent. I would have absolutely no hesitation in using him again, and recommending him for any decorating job.

Ricky was recommended by a friend, who spoke very highly of his work and we were not disappointed. From our first enquiry, to decorate our lounge he was helpful and worked in a very professional manner. He is a very conscientious worker and the decoration was to a high standard. He was punctual, always letting us know when he would be with us. And we then booked him a second time to paint our hall, stairs and landing. Again, Ricky has completed the work to a very high standard and he kept the whole decoration process very tidy and made us feel at ease while he was working in our home, which was especially important as one of us works from home. Ricky was initially recommended by neighbour in 2018 and due to how busy he is, which speaks for its self, we had to wait till the end of April for Ricky to decorate our son’s bedroom which we were extremely happy with any every way, so prompt that he would arrive ready to start 7am and work solidly through, professional in his approach, polite, friendly go out of his way to source us any paints the list goes on. We completed a major renovation and extended our house in 2023 and due to the previous relationship went straight to Ricky to ask when he could decorate our whole house, Ricky worked a solid month sole handed to decorate the whole of our 4 bed house top to bottom, the trust is such that we gave Ricky a house key to allow him to come at anytime including when we were not living at the house to get on with the works. We have since had Ricky back in for a day of snagging and as always a genuine pleasure. Can’t speak highly enough of Ricky and his work.

Ricky provided a very competitive quote to repaint a guest bedroom and managed to squeeze the job in with short notice. I couldn't be happier with his professionalism, his suggestions and the quality of the work he has delivered on. He was courteous, neat and tidy and left no trace of being here other than the extremely high quality finish of his work. He'll certainly be my first port of call for all future decorating jobs and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

We have used Ricky on several occasions and have always been extremely impressed with the quality of the works carried out. Ricky Bell did the interior decoration of my entire house. He is reliable, takes pride in his work and never hesitates to go the extra mile until he is satisfied with the result. I have been very lucky to have found him and trust his judgement intrinsically. He is a true professional. I called him for a big job on the exterior of my house. He undertook to clad my house (front and back) with some material from Marley Tiles, and for which he had to read about both product and method before he could accept to do the job. The result is absolutely first class and is a credit to his professional approach and wish to learn a new craft. He has an excellent pool of co-workers, be it electrician, plumber, roofer, plasterer etc who he can rely upon when needed. They all work with the same ethics and I feel safe to call upon them when I need them. Ricky’s work has always exceeded my expectation.
