Gordon just left our house having redone a small room upstairs. He was polite, conscientious, and very hard-working. It was a lot of work - removing wallpaper, replastering, and painting - but all taken in stride and done in a manner that instills confidence in the work. There were also some unforeseen issues that he happily addressed. The quote was also very competitive when compared to other decorators. I would highly recommend him for these sorts of jobs.

Found Gordon’s details via little green book.co.uk and am so pleased to have found someone who delivers exactly what I asked for and more. He plastered and made good a sorry bedroom wall and carried out exceptional decorating of all walls , ceiling, skirting and doors. He takes great pride in his work and it was a delight to have him in my home. He tidied and cleaned up each day I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to anyone looking for both a plasterer and decorator, and I will certainly be using his skills for other rooms in the near future.

Excellent job by Gordon, at the most competitive price. Made a very nice job of my plaster coving and supplied all the materials too. He was so quiet that I hardly noticed he was in the house, and left the room very clean.

Gordon has worked for us on several projects over the last four years at are 17th century cottage. His work from initial quote to completion is always professional, he's old school, a perfectionist and a pleasure to have working in our home. Gordon came out to our property and provided us with a free quote on the plastering and decorating work needed. He was very fair with his pricing and he has done a cracking job. What a find! Gordon is an exceptional professional. He is a perfectionist and we are extremely pleased with the recent work he has completed for us. Our lathe and plaster ceiling was badly damaged after a flooded bathroom. Gordon put up new plasterboard and plastered the ceiling. Gordon is a lovely person and takes extra time to get things right. He also cleaned up so well you would never have known that any plastering had been done in our house. We are really pleased that we used Gordon and will use again and highly recommend.

Over several years Gordon has decorated our kitchen, three bedrooms, hall, stairs and landing and we'll have no hesitation in hiring him again. He is an excellent plasterer and decorator, works methodically, quietly and tidily, always achieving a perfect finish. I clocked that Gordon was a fab decorator when I saw his work at a mutual customers house, I was so impressed that I got his contact details For work at my own home. I had a rough time with plasterers doing a rubbish job on my extension, I didn’t think it could ever look good! Gordon finished it properly, and painted throughout. The finish is EXCELLENT and people comment on the quality. He also repainted a wall that I had attempted myself and has more recently worked in my bedroom, re boarding the ceiling, replastering walls and ceiling and decorating. I am thrilled with the finish and will be getting him back to do the next lot of work when I come to it. Can’t recommend this guy enough.

Did my bathroom last month and has now done my 2 bedrooms. Really fair price for the work that needed doing and even after a few complications and extra work here and there he did it for me at no extra cost and could not of been more polite. The finish is top notch and will be definitely using him in the future when I get around to do my downstairs.

Following my initial review in April 2023, I've hired Gordon on at least a couple more occasions to do plastering of walls, and decorating/mending. Like the first time, Gordon has been absolutely great in his work and fair on pricing. He has a wealth of experience and gave plenty of advise on the DIY projects I'm running on my own with my house works. I will definitely be hiring him again if the need arises.

Gordon recently plastered all ceilings in my house, and decorated my master bedroom walls and wall skirting. He did an amazing job and worked very hard to make sure everything was in great shape before he left. He's also very knowledgeable about his field and has tons of experience. I will definitely be booking him again in future when needed.

Honest and very reliable craftsman, undertook a major repair to the plasterwork in bedroom, damaged by water leak, perfectly blending into the original plasterwork. Highly recommended..

Gordon Colyer plastered my kitchen. He did a very good job and for a reasonable price. His work was so good that I paid more than he asked. He didn't leave until he was happy with his own work. I would recommend him, in fact I will have Gordon back to decorate my hall way, stairs and landing. I was very happy with his work.

Gordon did a great job painting the kitchen and snug. The preparations were first class, repairing small cracks and faults that we had not even noticed. Throughout he explained why some paints were more suitable than the ones we had thought of using. Everything was left clean at the end of each day. Our daughter who lives nearby was so impressed that she has booked him in for a large job on her house.

We have used Gordon several times. He has boarded and plastered all our ceilings, painted our living room, hallway and staircase and recently redecorated our bathroom. Without fail, he is reliable, friendly and polite, arriving promptly to quote or start work. Gordon is honest and very knowledgeable about the work required, supplies itemised costs and carries out decorating and plastering with exceptional attention to detail. It always looks great and he leaves rooms looking like new. I will definitely continue to use Gordon in future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Painted my small kitchen for me recently. I had been told that a wall needed skimming which would have been more expense but Gordon was honest and said it wasn’t required. I am very happy with the finished result and Gordon was professional, helpful and considerate at all times.

I contacted Gordon Colyer about a small ceiling job in November and he came over to quote and completed the job to a high standard in December. He was punctual, a good communicator, tidy and the quality of his work was excellent.
