Luke and his team have recently finished a stunning full-garden makeover for me, as well as managing to co-ordinate work on my next door neighbour's garden so that both jobs could be done at the same time. I had a great initial site visit from Luke where we worked together to come up with a design that suited my budget and took into account the fact that due to practical constraints, all materials would have to come through the house. The job involved new paving, patio, fencing, gravelling, laying a lawn, and removing an old brick wall. Luke's careful planning and preparation meant that the end result is exactly as planned and and the materials and workmanship are of an extremely high standard. I cannot speak highly enough of Luke and his team - their communication, professionalism, organisation, planning, timekeeping, care and neatness were faultless. I am over the moon with my new garden, and would jump at the chance to work with Smallwood again. An absolute pleasure, and wholeheartedly recommended.

I found the team really listened at the initial consultation and was able to help advise with materials and ideas; remembering the small detail when later completing the job. They were polite with clear communication keeping me well informed.  Taking care and cleaning up at the end of each day,  checking all was okay. They worked hard, executing with precision. I felt very safe with them and they were very unobtrusive. They have completed a great job. I can thoroughly recommend Smallwood Landscaping. It is an excellent small family business which delivers a first class service. Dan gave us a very reasonable and realistic quote for a tricky job dismantling and disposing of a very old ivy ridden fence and constructing a bespoke new fence to fill an awkward sized gap.  It was a pleasure having Dan working on site for the day, he coped well with some rain, cleared up properly afterwards and left us with a fence which well exceeded our expectations.

I received a rapid response to my initial enquiry. This was quickly followed up by a visit from Dan to discuss the proposed work (reduction in the height of a hedge by about one metre). The work was completed a few weeks later. The service throughout has been quick. I found Dan to be respectful and he and Gabriel are careful workers. The drive was very well cleaned afterwards. I would definitely use Smallwood again.

Smallwood Landscaping were engaged to relay our patio after some home renovations over Autumn 2021. Dan was very prompt with both survey and estimate and was able to accommodate our job before Christmas which allowed us to make the most of the new patio with guests during unseasonably mild weather in the holidays. Luke and Phillip who completed the job over a couple of days were friendly and professional and got to work with no disruption to our day. The job was somewhat technical, requiring laying the widthways slabs under the threshold step of new bi-folding doors which Luke completed carefully and skilfully. I would not hesitate to recommend Smallwood to my friends, family and to you.

I am very happy with the friendliness and professionalism of Dan and John who carried out the work. I told Dan what I wanted to achieve and he talked me through what he would do to deliver this. I wanted to extend the size of my garden and create an area for housing my garden table and chairs...and in time a BBQ, a space for socialising outside. I also wanted to have a new lawn as the old one was very uneven and to be honest a complete mess! I now have a new fence around the extended area and a beautiful new lawn, in addition to this I have had some new garden gates installed to provide privacy and security to my property. There is further work that needs to be done to complete my desired aspirations for my garden and I am looking forward to this being completed later on in the year. I would definitely recommend Smallwood services to friends and family and am very pleased with the professional manner throughout and the standard of work that has been carried out. We have a large Eucalyptus tree in our garden that grows at an alarming rate. Having used Smallwood on a number of occasions to cut it back we recently had that and some other tree work done. Dan and his team are amazing. They are well equipped, have stringent safety standards, are friendly, courteous and professional all at the same time. They get the job done efficiently, clearing up brilliantly afterwards. Also a few years ago Smallwood laid a patio for us that still looks lovely and we have no hesitation in recommending them and their work.

I have used Smallwood a number of times over the past few years for various garden based jobs, including annual tree and hedge trimming and laying a border of granite blocks.  I have always been very pleased with the works done and would not hesitate in recommending the company.  As a small, family run business, I see the same employees regularly; they are always polite and friendly, whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism and an uncompromising adherence to their excellent level of workmanship.  Every job is always quoted for in writing and payment is requested by invoice upon completion, all very efficient and transparent.

We have used Dan and his firm for many years.  We have used them mainly for tree and hedge trimming over the years as they are reliable, professional and charge competitive rates.  Last summer we chose them to completely overhaul our back garden as I know I can trust Dan to do a great job, tidy up after himself and not charge over the odds.  His team's work included complete removal of very large and thick conifers, land levelled, a new fence, deck, large expanse of patio around the whole house and turf laid.  We were extremely pleased with the end result.  The lads work very hard in order to get the jobs done (unlike others who finish mid afternoon)!  Dan is also great to communicate with, offering ideas, advice and listening to what you want done.  I couldn't recommend them more highly.
