Our end-of-terrace cottage was built c.1890 and we asked Aidan to refurbish our roof, which included removing all tiles, installing a lining (unlined until now), new battens, chimney lead flashing and replacing worn and broken tiles. Assisted by Adam, he completed a first rate job. He took great care over every stage of the work, explained each day where the job had got to and ensured that our adjoining neighbours were comfortable at all times with a scaffolding tower that needed to be put up on their side for roof access to the rear. All waste was removed and working areas cleaned. Aidan and Adam were a pleasure to have working with us and we have the assurance that our roof is fit for the future.

Aidan and Adam did some repairs to one of my roof valleys and cleared moss from both too. They also checked there were no other problems. From the initial visit to inspect and advise me of what was required, I was impressed by their helpful and polite approach. They arrived when stated, didn't waste any time and didn't leave a mess. I would use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them if you need help with your roof.

I was very pleased with Aidan and his assistant, Adam. He replaced some broken tiles on our roof very quickly and efficiently. He was very knowledgeable and knew straight away what was urgent and needed to be done straight. I will ask Aidan to come back in the new year to do some more work. The price for the work was very fair as well.

Aidan and his team, reroofed our 1930s house, reusing most of the existing tiles, installing new felt and battens. All lead work was replaced, chimneys capped and new guttering installed. The quality of the work has been excellent, with high quality materials used. Our outside space was left tidy at the end of every day. Communication was good throughout; With a fast response to request to quote. Updates throughout the job of what / when they could do depending on weather and afterwards. And quickly responding to / sealing some guttering a few weeks after the job was done when I spotted a small leak. The work was carried out the agreed price, despite weather delays. The quote was competitive with ones I'd had in the past.

Aidan replaced the front half of our roof in Jan and Feb of 23. We had been told by the previous owner that the roof was new (our house is a C18th cottage), but we were having major problems with leaking and draughts. We were very concerned about having no roof in the middle of winter, and really nervous about water damage and cold. Aidan and his lads were fantastic- they were recommended by friends and looking back we couldn't have been more pleased. They don't have flashy vans, but its clear that they take real pride in the work they do and really know what they are doing. Some of the areas we really liked: - Communication- we always knew when to expect them and how long they would be on the job for (which in the middle of winter, in the snow and ice was only ever going to be a few hours per day) - Their advice was absolutely accurate- they promised our house would always be watertight and warm- and it was. Even after a couple of days of torrential rain we were already warmer and drier with just the felt on! - Their work was brilliant- we got to see what the problems were during the job and how the roofers would fix them. - They were clean and tidy at all times, and always friendly. As an example of tradesmen that cared, they spotted that our chimney needed repointing in a couple of spots, and without charging just got on an repointed whilst they were bedding in the ridge tiles. The sort of skilled crafstmen you want on any job. Thanks Aidan!

I was lucky enough to find Adian and A&J Traditional Roof Renovations about two years ago. He was introduced to me by a mutual friend who also highly recommended his work. As I have several Buy to Let houses it is always appreciated when you can find workmen of good quality and Adian is one of them. He has quoted for and satisfactorily finished several roofing jobs. These include unblocking a down pipe, adjusting guttering, re-newing two flat roof extensions, tiling and finishing lead work on a rear extension and completely stripping,battoning, re-tiling, pointing chimneys, re-leading and re-furbishing a Dormer window on another house.
You can see, no job is too big or too small. All his work is finished to a very high standard and guaranteed. Once he has quoted there are no hidden extras. I would recommend Adian to anyone requiring a quote for roofing work.

Aiden recently removed the old felt and re- felted our main roof and also removed and replaced broken roof tiles. Aiden fixed our porch; he replaced the existing rotten wood, added a new fascia as well as re-felting the roof section. We have used Aiden several times and find A&J traditional roof renovations to be a trustworthy, professional company. Their work is of a consistently high standard at a competitive price. During the winter we had a roof leak over a bedroom and Aiden quickly came to our rescue and made the roof watertight. I would highly recommend this company.
