An enormous thank you to Alan for his fabulous work redecorating our playroom. I can’t recommend Alan highly enough. He is friendly, polite, punctual, professional and trustworthy. As well as painting the walls and ceiling to a very high standard with a perfect finish, he filled many huge holes in the wall, covered a large area of black chalkboard paint, repaired surprise cracks and boxed in exposed pipework, all with excellent attention to detail. All requests and unexpected tasks were accommodated, work was completed with very little disruption to the family home and the room was left spotless once the job was complete. I would recommend Alan’s services in a heartbeat and look forward to welcoming him back to work on future projects.

Alan did a fantastic job painting our very large kitchen (formerly three rooms) by spray painting the doors which he took away to paint in his workshop. Therefore there was very little intrusion into our life at home. His attention to detail is second to none. Every minor problem he fixed quickly always with a smile on his face. He then painted our porch again with great professionalism. I would recommend anybody to use Alan’s decorating services as he is such a polite, punctual and excellent worker.

We were so pleased with the level of service we received from Alan Maggs. He gave us good advice on which wallpaper would be suitable and where to go look at designs. Always arrived on time and tidied up after a days work. He kept us informed of his work schedule each day. We were very satisfied with the end result and would certainly recommend him.

We have used Alan's services over ten years now, to decorate our last three homes. He is a first-class worker, particular about all details, and very knowledgeable. In this respect he also offers good advice, if asked for. He is very reliable, an excellent time-keeper, works hard and his fees are very reasonable. In all, to be highly recommended.

Alan is a very nice helpful man who we considered to be totally trustworthy. He decorated the whole of our two bedroom apartment in two and a half weeks at what we considered to be a reasonable price. Most importantly his work was excellent and we would highly recommend him to anybody requiring the very highest standard of work.

Alan Maggs has painted our dining room and then painted & wallpapered our stairwell. There are no paint splashes anywhere and the wallpapering is a very professional job, not easy on a stairwell, especially ours which had about 40 years' worth of old painted woodchip paper on it! Alan repaired and made good the stair walls and then sized them before papering. We are so pleased with his work that he has been asked to do another room next. He is completely trustworthy; just keep the coffee pot going!

Alan painted our hall, stairs and landing and lounge. He is a very skilled painter and finishes the job to a very high standard. He repaired cracked walls and coving and we are really pleased with the result. Alan is reliable, turning up on time every day, trustworthy and just generally a very nice chap! We would highly recommend him and will be having him back in the New Year for the kitchen and dining room.

Alan recently finished a large decorating job at our house which lasted several weeks. The job was complicated by damage done to the ceiling because of re wiring and new skirting boards. He did an excellent job fixing the problem areas. I found Alan to be tidy, respectful and trustworthy. He was never late and I was able to discuss a work plan that revolved around my family to minimize any disruption. This made a big difference. The overall decorating job surpassed my expectation and the quoted price came in on target. I would recommend Alan to my family and friends.

Alan has recently completed some painting and wall papering for us and I would happily recommend him. He is a friendly chap, who arrives on the dot every day and just gets on with the job in hand. I was concerned about the disruption as I work from home, but he works quietly and efficiently, with seemingly only a break to drink the cups of tea I made, so not an issue at all. We will undoubtedly contact him again when we are ready to decorate our lounge in the new year!

Alan recently put up wallpaper in 5 rooms creating feature walls. The work was carried out to a very high standard. He is punctual, tidy and extremely hardworking, barely stopping for a single break! I would thoroughly recommend him and wouldn't hesitate to use him again for wallpapering or even painting in the near future.

Alan came and stripped off wall and ceiling paper. He recommended a very good plasterer prior to decorating. Alan fitted coving, painted walls, ceiling and both radiators, all 5 doors and skirting boards. They were in a very shabby state before he began. He arrived promptly and started work straight away. He was meticulous and cleared away every day. I had no hesitation on leaving him on his own. I am absolutely thrilled with the results, he has transformed a shabby room into a room of beauty admired by my friends. I would recommend him unhesitatingly and will certainly use him again.
