With training by Bosch, AEG, Zanussi, Hoover, Hotpoint and Indesit, they repair all makes of washing machine/dryer, tumble dryer, hob, oven (both gas and electric), dishwasher, fridge freezer, cooker hood and microwave oven. They have an extensive customer database including letting agents, care homes, private and public schools, residential properties and business premises (not commercial appliances). There is a 12-month warranty on parts (some exceptions) and labour. Fully insured. Gas Safe registered (564591) for domestic gas appliances (no LPG).

Dave and his team were brilliant. I filled in contact details on their website, they called me back very quickly. A call was booked for the following day. Dave called me as requested when 30 mins off. Problem was fixed on his first visit. Can not fault this company and thier service. I would not hesitate to use them again. 5 stars if this was that review site.

We had a problem with our washing machine tripping the RCD. Calum came out to diagnose the problem. The heater was replaced but also found a hose disconnected.but as the machine was in a restricted location couldn't sort the issue. However he returned with Paul later in week and between them got the washing machine up and running. A huge relief after 2 weeks without being able wash our clothes!

Paul was quick to respond to my enquiry when my Bosch dishwasher was broken. He is extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what was causing the issue, which allowed my dishwasher to be restored to full health again and saving me hundreds of pounds on not having to buy a new one. I can highly recommend ADA and will certainly use them again when next needed. Thank you Paul!

Calum came out to fix our dishwasher problem - it wasn't draining properly. He sorted this out efficiently in a very short time. The following week we noticed the dishwasher cleaning was leaving a mucky discharge on dishes and glasses. We called up Active Domestic again and Calum turned up the very next day. He immediately knew what the problem was - no salt - and told us to top it up every two weeks. At no charge! Very impressed!

It couldn't be fixed but that doesn't mean I wasn't pleased with the service. In need of an engineer I left a voicemail and sent an email and was called back quickly to arrange an appointment for the next day. On the day, the engineer called to say he was ahead of schedule, could he still come? Of course! Very friendly, assessed the problem, looked up the cost of parts to repair. It was uneconomical to do so, but then parts are no longer available anyway. Gave some advice, processed payment and both text and email receipts on the spot. Really professional and friendly too.

Cannot speak too highly of them; they arrived at the suggested time, were very polite and explained everything properly. Also fixed the problem with the cooker and the charge was very fair.

No complaints at all! Quick call-out and confirmed with text and email and then notification 30mins before arrival. On Wednesday Jack arrived, diagnosed the fault and explained what was needed. The company emailed to confirm I wanted to move forward on the repair later that afternoon, Thursday, had the part and arranged fitting. Friday morning Jack returned and fitted the new part. The ladies I spoke to initially, the man I spoke to to arrange the repair and Jack were all friendly, helpful and professional. Quick, professional - I would certainly recommend.

Excellent service provided by Active to fix my 15 year old washing machine. They came when they said they would, fixed the washing machine motor within the quoted price then returned promptly when the repair didn't work first time as expected. I am happy to recommend this company.

We wish to heartily recommend this company. We have called them on a good few occasions to repair our previous two washing machines and, most recently, our electric cooker. Their representatives have always arrived promptly and effected repairs in a timely and courteous manner, to our complete satisfaction and at a very reasonable price. The call handler and staff have always been extremely helpful, polite and approachable, and I would call them again without hesitation.

Great service - had to leave a voicemail initially when I called them but was called back very promptly. Fully explained the charges over the phone, Dave turned up the next day and replaced the faulty heat pump on my Bosch dishwasher in under 45 mins. Honest, efficient, courteous and reasonably priced - I will use them again next time I have a faulty appliance.

I called Active Domestic Appliances to investigate a fault with our washer dryer. I managed to get an appointment the next day and the engineer was able to replace the heater element (which had blown). Pleased to support local business, and delighted to have received such prompt and professional service. I would recommend them for any work on your domestic appliances (they cover the lot).

Another really good experience with Active Domestic Couple of 'challenges' with fridge and freezer. Called to see if Dave could call. Within minutes Tracey called back to say he was in the area and could be there in 15 minutes, which he was. He diagnosed the problems, came up with possible solutions, including pricing parts there and then. The price for doing this was very reasonable and all done in a helpful and friendly manner. To anyone reading this, I would highly recommend Dave and his team.

We called Active Domestic yesterday with an issue on one of our washing machines and they were able to attend the same day. Calum came out to our offices and fixed the problem for us. Dave and Tracy were extremely helpful and responsive and whilst Dave never actually did any work for us (as he managed to diagnose the fault as uneconomic to repair) I would definitely use Dave in the future and recommend him to friends.

First class repair service, met Dave, Paul & Calum. Not only did they repair my dishwasher, which was my initial problem but were then able to sort out a problem with an American fridge freezer (a problem that another company had charged me £100 to say "was not repairable"). As and when the next domestic appliance has a fault, Active will be receiving a call.
