Peter was recommended to me just before Christmas last year as I needed the failed bathroom extractor fan replacing in the windowless en suite. Pete was very thorough in examining the connections at the consumer unit and replacing the burnt switch. He spoke to the NICEIC about the wiring problem and requested a certificate. He said that he wanted to see how it's doing in three months.

We needed an electrical certificate provided urgently in respect of a property we were letting out and turned to Pete King for help. Although Pete was busy with other jobs on the go, he went out of his way to visit us (not local to him) to conduct the work and provide the necessary certificate. Whilst checking out the fuse box, Pete noticed that there were some deficiencies with it and recommended replacement. Again we were tight for time on this and once again Pete stepped up and delivered the job on time. Not surprisingly we were very pleased with Pete’s attitude and all round helpfulness. Mr King has made our house safe. We had an old non-compliant fuse box and a damaged power connection to the garage. He replaced the fuse box and connected a new power line to the garage. The care with which he carried out the work was amazing. He labelled everything on the new fuse box and explained it all very clearly. The power connection to the garage is brilliant and the new light is fantastic. After he left, you could not have known that he had been in the house and garden all day because it was all so clean and tidy. Professional, very kind and totally incredible. Highly recommended.

What a kind and considerate man as well as an excellent electrician! We woke up earlier this week to find the power off and we didn't really know where and how to sort things out so we phoned Pete as we've used him before. He told us how to check and identify the problem and following his instructions found that the washing machine had 'died'. We had to buy a new machine, but we didn't have an electricians bill as well, so thank you again, Pete.

Something tripped a fuse, which took out all our kitchen appliances and boiler. Although very busy with run up to Christmas, Pete arrived a couple of hours later, having come from his first job. He was very thorough and tried various options, before concluding that the washing machine was the culprit. Once unplugged, all back to normal. Pete was very thorough, polite and friendly. Comfortable with him in my home and happy to call him again, should the need arise.

Pete came to our rescue to sort out some historic wiring, recess some switches and reroute some ugly internal cabling midway through major house decorations! I have used Mr King twice recently and both times he has been professional, knowledgeable and punctual. The first time he dealt with a light which had stopped working, and tracked down the fault to water getting in through the vent of the bathroom next door. This week he returned to do several jobs - removal of two non-compliant smoke alarms and replacing them, replacing a light on a stairwell and putting two more permanent and safe switches on a fuse board. Peter was initially contacted to fix a faulty light switch that had given me an electric shock. He came out the same day and fixed the switch. It soon became apparent that our fuse board required replacing - he sent us a quote for the work that was required which we were happy to accept. On the day the work was done he explained what he was going to do and why. There were also a few issues with a light switch, a plug socket and the earthing of the upstairs lights. He explained in detail what the problems were and how he was going to fix them. He worked tirelessly throughout the day and is a genuinely nice man. I would not hesitate in recommending him and his work to anyone that requires electrical work to be done.

We had an older non-compliant fuse board in our house which we've been meaning to sort out for years. Each time we had a short the whole house's electrics would go down and so isolating any problem areas was impossible and with us looking to re-do our kitchen we had to take action. We called Peter who came out initially to advise on how we'd go about wiring an induction cooker and he gave us some very good and clear advice on what was possible and what was not. It was at that point we discussed the main fuse board and what needed to be done to replace it. Peter gave us a clear quote to replace the fuse board with a fully RCBO populated board which has a 25-year guarantee via email at a very reasonable price and we booked him in. On the day of the job Peter explained what he was doing and the job was completed to an excellent standard. Each of the individual fuses are now labelled so we can easily isolate anything and we also have a few spares too for the future if needed. We were also supplied with all the necessary certifications via email quickly. We would highly recommend Peter who has a wealth of knowledge and experience, is friendly and very professional too. Peter is coming back to help with some other electrical work we've been putting off for years which is very satisfying to finally get them done!

We called Pete King the first working day of the new year as we had two small electrical problems. He came out the very same day and was able to partially rectify one of the problems immediately but needed further parts to complete that job, and a part for the second task. He ordered these immediately and came the following day to finish the work. In doing this work he noticed our smoke detectors were 10 years past their expiry date and so we asked for these to be replaced; he did this the following day as soon as he had the replacement units. He was courteous, clean and tidy and we are very pleased with all the work he did. We believe his prices offered very good value for money and he will certainly be our "go to" electrician for any further electrical work and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him - and have already done so.

Peter King has now upgraded all the lights in my house; the last job being the lights in the kitchen, where Pete removed the 2 existing 4ft florescent lights and replace them with 2 x 5ft twin LED lights. The lighting is now so good I can see if I have dropped a bread crumb on the floor. Pete is a very tidy worker who always brings plenty of large cloths to protect floors, stairs from dirt which may have been brought in when the weather is not good.

Peter was very willing to come out even though this was a relatively small job, booked in and arrived as promised and on time. Peter came to install a new fuse board, he was excellent he explained how the new RCB will work. He carried out a complete check of all the electrics to make sure they were safe he was very efficient and cleared up after he had finished. I would recommend him to carry out any electrical work.

Pete has done a few jobs for me over the years, but the recent one was the big one! Rewiring my house, and I wouldn’t have anyone else to do it because Pete is very reasonable with his quotes, he is very reliable, an expert at his trade, and trustworthy. It was a big job. Pete came to look at a few jobs that I wanted doing. He replaced two ceiling roses and looked at how to replace two bulbs in wall mounted bathroom mirrors. He was punctual, polite and I felt very much at ease with him from the start. He has also advised me on a few other things and will be returning to do these jobs for me. I have had an issue with a single socket being a pain in back for almost a year playing funny. Somehow a downstairs socket was linked to upstairs and I could not sort it out. Quotes from other electricians were ridiculous so my neighbour advised to check with Peter. Peter came and sort it out in a hour. All I can say that the job was done to highest professional level old flaky sockets and connector was replaced too for the fraction of what other were quoting. Thanks Peter!

Peter King has served us exceptionally well and I cannot recommend him too highly. Our house was given a major makeover before we moved in five years ago, when the electrical work was done by another electrician. When the lights on our top floor stopped working recently, Peter came promptly to investigate and found that there was a significant latent fault with the lighting circuit. So he wrote a cogent report and steered us through the process of referring the fault to the NICEIC. As a result, they agreed for the work to be done at no cost to ourselves under their insurance scheme. So Peter and one of his colleagues returned yesterday and put everything right, with the minimum of inconvenience to ourselves, in a way that has left our home completely undamaged. My wife and I are extremely grateful to him and will not hesitate to use him again in future.

I have been using King Electrical Services for all of my electrical work around the house for many years now. The standard of work is excellent, he talks through the options to get the best result, is very considerate around the house ensuring little mess and clears up if any is created and is a very friendly and reliable person. In the last few years we have new electrics taken into the garage and outside electric points connected up, a new outside lantern fitted which looks amazing, extra sockets fitted in our hallway and the replacement and testing of our triple smoke alarm system. At Christmas, a fault in our domestic electrical wiring resulted in no power to the downstairs lighting circuit. I contacted Kings Electrical Services who attended promptly and after several hours traced the fault to wiring in the back of a plug socket. Having rectified the fault, Mr King found that the consumer unit had been installed incorrectly and needed replacing. This work was then undertaken and the appropriate certificates issued as required by the local authority. This was a complicated job and was undertaken most professionally. I have no hesitation in recommending Kings Electrical Services.

I phoned King Electrical Services and he arranged a time and date, quoted a price which was reasonable. After doing the job he took the time to explain how the cooker worked and even showed my daughter the fuse box and how that worked if anything failed in the property. He was polite and so helpful. Pete King undertook a major upgrade of the electrical services throughout a 2/3 bedroom house, including the fitting of a new consumer unit, and subsequently installed external lighting to the rear garden. He was a pleasure to work with. He listened to what we wanted, made suggestions from his wide experience and submitted a detailed estimate with fully priced options. After we had placed an order with him, he came on the date agreed, undertook the work efficiently, without mess and for the price he had submitted. No haggling, no excuses. The paperwork that followed was in accordance with NICEIC requirements. We then had an emergency problem (nothing to do with his work) and he responded within 24 hours to something that was really very small and hardly likely to make him a fortune. Class company, great service, really nice guy to deal with.

I contacted King Electrical Services Ltd and spoke to Pete who came himself to change an outdoor light fitting which needed replacing. He was very polite and advised me throughout exactly what he needed to do as the original wiring was confusing even to him but with his expertise he was able to refit a new outside light which he did very neatly and I was more than happy with the finished result so would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
