Spotted a problem with a small section of our fascias over the weekend. Called Shaun Tuggey on Monday morning and he came to look at the problem and give me a quote that afternoon. Returned on Tuesday to do the work, so everything was sorted by Tuesday lunchtime. Friendly and efficient service, just what you hope for from someone in the Little Green Book.

We selected Shaun Tuggey (A.S.T Services) from the 2022/23 Little Green Book. Shaun gave us an estimate and then came along and completed our works - replacement of all our soffits, bargeboards, guttering and down pipes. His estimate was reasonable and was the amount we paid him. We are very pleased with the results - he completed the work in three full days. It looks great and is now maintenance free - RESULT! Shaun also cleared up very well and took all the 'rubbish' with him. Very easy to get on with and a nice guy who did exactly what he said he would for the initially agreed cost. We would use him again without hesitation.

WOW.. we had an issue with a gutter for months. Small job but not an issue for Shaun, he responded fast. Came when he said he would and fixed it there and then. Perfect. Certainly if I or any friend needs anything repairs on our gutters this is the team I will be calling and recommending.

Shaun replaced our rotten old wooden facias and soffit, together with all the guttering and downpipes, around the start of 2021. He has since been back to deal with a couple of snags (generously refusing to accept payment for doing so). Shaun's thoughtful, and explained various options to us (and there was certainly no hard sell of anything). He was generally very easy to deal with (including all of the liaison with scaffolders etc). Very nice chap, and clearly takes pride in his work.

I can only repeat what other reviewers have said but it is worth repeating. Shaun called within a couple of days of my first enquiry. He explained fully what he would do and the various methods he would use especially the replacement of rotten wood. This turned out to be important as a significant rebuild of the end of the roof rafters and box corners had to be carried out due to the rotten wood. This was fully explained to me during the rebuild and the extra cost it would incur, which was surprisingly minimal. I received a fully itemised quote within days of his first visit. His communication and start date were spot on. He attended everyday until the task was completed, He cleared up every day, removed any rubbish including some of my own items, and carried out a deep clean on the last day. The quality of materials he used was excellent. I can now relax knowing that during the next storm my facias and gutters will remain where they should be. I would not hesitate in recommending Shaun.

Services did an excellent and solid job fitting uPVC facials, soffits and guttering to my house.The original estimate was at market level and was not increased despite hidden faults in the rafters which required additional work to correct. The site was moderately tidied up. Shaun Tuggey is an excellent carpenter but needs an assistant to reduce the schedule. Worked through December despite difficult weather conditions.

Shawn came to quote just hours after my call to potentially replace all of the old fascia, soffit, guttering and downpipes to include the garage. From the outset, he exudes professionalism and expertise. As a female I have dealt with many tradesmen over many years, even though I had few other quotes, I chose him because I felt he can be trusted to do a great job without cutting corners. He is a fair guy and he offers a good value for money. His bio clearly states that’s what he does day in and day out and for the last fifteen years and it shows. He works on his own and works really hard and he is fast. I was amazed how fast he erected the scaffolding. Shawn uses Swish brand guttering and not the cheap stuff. Shawn fixed new timbers on rafters. Replaced it with white plain fascia, plain soffit and anthracite guttering and downpipes. Put up new air vents and some brick pointing. He took the rubbish away and left the site clean at the end of each day. Shawn managed to fit me in sooner because some of the guttering got broken just weeks before he was due to start and it sounded like a waterfall when it rained. I’m happy to have chosen Shaun Tuggey (AST Services) and I’m pleased with his workmanship at a fair price. I would not hesitate to recommend him to everyone with similar work requirements. Thank you

New gutters to front and back, so much better than the old ones and he explained why the old ones were leaking and rectified the problem so it doesn't happen again. Shaun Tuggey runs a one man business so you can be sure who is doing the job. My job was quite small, replacing soffits, fascias and guttering at the front of the house. This was not a problem to Shaun as he was prepared to do it at the weekend between bigger jobs. He was the only trades person who demonstrated the method he uses with samples. Couldn't fault his workmanship, took all the rubbish away and cleared up after. Within a week of contacting him the job was done. I will be using him again. I would highly recommend him.

Replace with white plain fascia, plain soffit, guttering and downpipes. Put up new air vents and drip trays. Take rubbish away and delivered on every promise, particularly relating to start times and schedules of work. We are delighted with the soffits and fascia work, over and above our expectations. I needed the fascias, soffits and guttering replaced on my semi-detached house which had been built in 1938 with a later extension.Shaun carried out the work to a very high standard and I was completely satisfied with what he did.He cleared the site and disposed of all the old material which he had removed and left the site in a clean and tidy condition. I am a landlord to the property that Shaun worked on for me to remove and replace fascia, soffits etc etc., I was very pleased that Shaun went above and beyond the call of duty by accommodating my tenants and taking plenty of photos of the work (as many miles away). Shaun also tidied up all the leaves (bags of it!) from the side of the house and moss from my flat roof. Shaun was very easy to consult with and the work was done promptly and efficiently. We initially asked Shaun Tuggey from AST Services to renew the fascia’s and soffits to our large detached property. With the front of the house being three stories high and with a conservatory that the contractor would need to bridge over in the rear we always knew that the job would be a bit daunting to most companies and they would consequently look to charge a premium. Not the case with AST, Shaun submitted a fair and competitive quotation, with a detailed explanation on his initial visit on how he would go about the job, along with the advantages of having a hidden ventilation system as we did not like the traditional “cheese grater” effect in the soffit. This hidden ventilation system gave our home the best of both worlds - a beautiful, clean and stylish look, and the highest ventilation performance of any UPC system. We are so pleased with his workmanship, and with his fair quotations we have recommended him to all our family and friends. Our son was so impressed he is now having his fascia’s and soffits done by Shaun at AST asap. That’s not where it ends, getting AST to do other maintenance work around the house, is now a logical step for us, Shaun has fitted four expensive solid oak internal doors that needed to be spot on to look just right, which was achieved and they do look amazing, we could not be better pleased. I would recommend Shaun Tuggey and AST to anyone, I am pleased to say that true craftsmanship is not dead in the Thames Valley it lives on through Shaun Tuggey at AST.

AST Services (Shaun Tuggey) renewed the fascias and soffits on our chalet bungalow. He provided a written quote which detailed the work to be undertaken and the price was competitive. One of the reasons I chose Shaun was that he carries out the work himself - no sub contractors which others tend to use. Shaun was very thorough and always highlighted to me any areas that were a concern so that we could discuss and decide on the best course of action. He always uses the best materials rather than some of the cheaper alternatives and his installation was as recommended by the manufactures, which takes time but achieves a better end result - not all installers do this. He was tidy with all the rubbish being removed daily. The finished result is excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Shaun as a very honest, straight forward craftsman. I was sorry when he finished!

AST Services (Shaun Tuggey) were engaged to renew our fascias and soffits. The quote received was very competitive and on his initial visit he explained in some detail how he would go about the job and the advantages of the methods he was using. The house is quite large and for certain tasks he engaged extra help when required which seemed to work well. Overall his work was of the highest quality and Shaun demonstrated a remarkable thoroughness and a real pride in his work. For instance, if he spotted faults on the roof such as broken tiles or valleys in the roof that needed re-pointing then he just got on with it 'while he was up there'. He even cleaned all the windows while he was at it! Despite all the rubbish that accumulates with this type of work everything was left spotless each evening. Shaun is an honest and professional tradesman who I would happily recommend.
